When writing each track, I always try to be aware of the bigger picture. Each song needs to be strong enough to stand on its own, but also needs to make sense within the album as a whole. I have always agreed that the sum is greater than it’s parts.

Spotlight: Eyal Amir

Even though I will bring lots of different players, I will usually have clear idea of what the parts should be like. However, I'm also very influenced by the musicians I'm using - they are always people I admire and respect, so my goal is to always let them express themselves within the boundaries of the composition that I have created.

From the outset, one of our main philosophies was that we wanted to talk with the audience, as opposed to talking to them. I think it's also obvious that we're doing this because we love the music too. I think that's important for any company.
